La Mon Country Club – Member Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions ensure a safe, enjoyable
experience for all members and guests. By joining or using the facilities, you
agree to follow the rules below.
1. ABOUT THE COUNTRY CLUB
La Mon Country Club aims to provide a welcoming, safe
environment for health and wellbeing. Management oversees all operations and
may update these Terms & Conditions when required. Any changes will be
communicated through ClubRight or displayed within the Club. Members and guests
are expected to act respectfully and responsibly at all times. Failure to do so
may waiver your right to Country Club Membership
2. MEMBERSHIP TYPES & PAYMENTS
2.1 Types of membership
- Rolling Monthly
Membership: renews automatically
until cancelled with notice.
- Annual Fixed-Term
Membership: contracted for 12 months
with discounted rate.
2.2 Joining & payment
- All memberships are
created and managed through ClubRight.
- Payments are taken
securely by direct debit or card.
- Direct debits are
collected between the on or after the 1st day of every month,
except when it falls on a weekend or bank holiday, it will be collected
closest day after.
- Memberships are
non-transferable and non-refundable, except where noted.
2.3 Direct Debit Guarantee
We follow the UK Direct Debit Guarantee:
- You will be notified at
least 10 working days before any change to payment amount or date.
- Errors made by La Mon or
your bank are refunded immediately by your bank.
- You may cancel your
Direct Debit at your bank, but La Mon Hotel and Country Club still
requires notice to end your membership.
2.4 Personal details
Members must ensure their contact and payment details are
kept up to date within ClubRight or by contacting Country Club Reception.
3. CANCELLING OR PAUSING MEMBERSHIP
3.1 Rolling monthly memberships
- Require 30 days’ notice
via ClubRight or in writing to countryclub@lamon.co.uk
- Exceptional circumstances
may be considered (see below)
3.2 Annual fixed-term memberships
- Cannot be cancelled early
except in exceptional circumstances, such as:
- long-term medical issues
- pregnancy
- relocation beyond a
reasonable distance
- other compassionate
grounds
- Evidence may be required
(e.g., GP letter, proof of address change).
3.3 Freezing memberships
Annual memberships may be frozen under the following
conditions:
- Freeze is available only
for annual fixed-term members.
- Membership may be frozen
for a minimum of 1 month and a maximum of 3 months within each contract
term.
- Freezes must be requested
through ClubRight or in writing before the freeze period begins.
- The contract end date
will be extended by the same length of time the membership is frozen.
Monthly memberships cannot be frozen
3.4 Pauses for medical reasons
If a member cannot use the facilities for medical reasons,
pauses may be granted outside the normal freeze allowance with appropriate
medical evidence.
4. CLUB ACCESS & GENERAL USE
4.1 Opening hours & closures
Facilities may only be used during published opening times. Management
may close areas temporarily for maintenance or safety. Notice will be provided
where possible, and compensation is not offered for such closures.
4.2 Hotel residents
Hotel residents are temporary members for the duration of
their stay and must follow all rules.
They must sign in at Reception. Towels are provided; lockers require a £1 coin.
4.3 Dress code
Appropriate sportswear/swimwear must be worn. Football tops
are not permitted.
Members must be fully clothed when entering and leaving the Club.
4.4 Guests
- Each membership includes four
complimentary guest visits per year.
- Members must sign guests
in, stay with them, and take responsibility for their behaviour.
- Guests must follow all
Club rules.
4.5 Age restrictions
- Age 11- 16: permitted in gym, and must be supervised by an adult at
all times
- Under 16: pool use only, and must be supervised by an adult in
the water. Not permitted in sauna, steam room or jacuzzi
5. FACILITY RULES
All persons using the pool do so at their own risk and sole
responsibility. The hotel accepts no liability for the injury, to yourselves or
loss of articles within the use of the pool and associated areas.

No mobile phones or
photographic equipment should be used under any circumstances.

Loungers cannot be reserved
and are intended only for the use of Members and Hotel Guests.
5.1 Swimming pool
- Shower before entering.
- Pool shoes are recommended
around wet areas.
- Swim hats must be worn in
the main pool.
- Only bottled water
permitted.
- There is no lifeguard on
duty, children under 16 years should be always supervised.
- No diving
- No running
- Be mindful and respectful
of other pool/spa users
- The pool depth is 1.35M,
extreme care must be taken whilst swimming
5.2 Jacuzzi, Sauna and Steam Room
- Shower before and after
use.
- No under-16s.
- Enter the Jacuzzi only by
the railings and steps
- A maximum time limit of
15 continuous minutes is advised.
- Long exposure may result
in nausea, dizziness or fainting. Take breaks if necessary
- No food items are
permitted
- The use of oils or soaps
is not permitted in Sauna or Steam Rooms
- In the interest of
hygiene and cleanliness, no shaving is allowed
- Seek medical advice if
pregnant or if you have heart, blood pressure, or other relevant
conditions.
5.3 Gymnasium
- Must be dry — no wet
clothing/footwear.
- Wear appropriate gym
clothing and clean indoor footwear.
- No outdoor shoes, bare
feet, or excessively loose clothing.
- Wipe down equipment after
use.
- Return equipment to its
proper place.
6. SAFETY & MEMBER RESPONSIBILITY
Members and guests must ensure they are physically fit to
exercise. Do not use facilities if you have any contagious illness, infection,
open wound, or any condition that may affect others’ safety. Facilities must
not be used under the influence of alcohol or substances that impair judgment.
7. LIABILITY
Use of the facilities is entirely at your own risk. La Mon
Hotel & Country Club is not liable for loss of personal belongings or any
injury sustained on the premises. Members are encouraged to obtain personal
insurance if desired.
8. LOST PROPERTY
Items found are logged and stored for 21 days, after
which they may be donated or disposed of. Unhygienic/soiled items are disposed
of immediately. Members must sign for collected items. If contact information
is available, management will attempt to reunite property with its owner.
9. BEHAVIOUR & MEMBERSHIP SUSPENSION
Membership may be suspended or terminated if behaviour is
unsafe, abusive, or damaging to the Country Club or its reputation. Suspended
or terminated members must leave immediately and cannot claim compensation. Refunds
are not issued for periods of suspension or termination.
Management
reserves the right to review memberships on an ongoing basis and at any time
reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone suspected of not adhering to the
above terms and conditions.
